New Meal Plan

The trainer running the contest gave me a meal plan. I started following it last Friday. So far I have followed it to a T, except dinner Super Bowl Sunday. Anyway, it is a lot of eating! All meals and snacks are low glycemic and very clean. The idea is to eat more to boost your metabolism.

Water with every meal/snack
6am-2 cups of berries/2 eggs
9am-1 cup of berries/oz almonds/hard boiled egg
12pm-turkey burger/spring mix/oil and vinegar dressing
3pm-Apple/peanut butter/yogurt
6pm-salmon/broccoli
9pm-2cups of berries/yogurt

My faith is in this guy! We shall see! So far I feel good and my desire to snack has been suppressed so far!

Losing Weight Fast-Myth

I've done the lose weight fast deal...many times. The problem that I have learned is you don't learn anything in the 'quick' process! It is almost inevitable that old habits return and the weight comes back times ten. Trust me, I never understood until I tried to lose weight the right way. It is not easy, but working out and learning to eat better has been so much more than losing pounds. Pounds come off slower, but the therapy, good habits and training that is developed by losing weight the right way is the only logical path to a lifetime of healthy living.

Never Surrender!

There is a battle going on in my head this week. This week just so happens to be the week before my period, so this is normal. With the healthier eating and working out, the symptoms are much weaker than normal, but still present. I lack motivation and want to eat everything that is bad for me! Ugh! Never surrender! Today was my worst day for binging on junk food. I was tempted to skip my late night Muay Thai class and avoid logging my food into My Fitness Pal, but I didn't! Wahoo...never surrender. I feel empowered that I am able to pick up and carry on!

Tomorrow is my 1 month check in. Wish me luck!
